Congratulations to the Class of 2023 for your Outstanding HSC Results

We are pleased to share with our community the news of our students’ outstanding results and achievements in the 2023 Higher School Certificate (HSC).

Our heartfelt congratulations goes to the Class of 2023. Their results are a testament to their love of learning, pursuit of excellence, collaborative spirit, and remarkable grit. It was wonderful to gather with some of the recent graduates on Thursday at the Principal's HSC Morning Tea.

There were seven All-Round Achievers (students who achieved the highest band possible in 10 or more units studied) and three Top Achievers in Course (students who attained a place in NSW for a subject).

True to their generous and collaborative spirit, the cohort as a collective achieved inspiring results. There were 98 students who appeared on the Distinguished Achievers List, with a total of 237 mentions. Loreto Normanhurst ranked 47th overall in NSW and 4th among Catholic schools.

We wish special congratulations to Elli Barron who achieved the top ATAR of 99.95, the highest possible ATAR result and the highest the School has ever received, and to Elyse Stephens, who placed First in Course in Extension History.

In addition, 29 students were nominated for HSC Showcases. All 19 students in our 2023 Drama cohort received one or more OnSTAGE nominations for their individual performance, individual project or group performances. Four students were nominated for inclusion to Shape for their work in Textiles and Design, and Design and Technology, and three students were nominated for inclusion to TexStyle for their work in Textiles and Design, with one student selected for inclusion. Five students were nominated for ARTEXPRESS for their work in Visual Arts, and two students were selected for inclusion. Further, one student was nominated to CALLBACK for her work in Dance.
